la A simple individual Self Assessment tax return would cost in the region of £100.

la A simple corporation tax return would cost in the region of £150.

Each case will be judged separately, and exact quotations will depend upon a detailed discussion of your requirements, and a careful review of your records and systems (neater records produce smaller fees).

We offer annual fixed-price agreements to our smaller clients, which cover the cost of preparing the accounts and/or completing and submitting the associated tax return(s). The fee will also cover ad-hoc advice during the year, so you needn't be afraid to pick up the phone and talk to us. These agreements are reviewed annually before the commencement of our work on the accounts or tax returns.

We charge our larger clients on the basis of the amount of time we spend working on their behalf, calculated using individual hourly charge-out rates. Ultimately, the price we charge for a job will also depend on the quality of the records we receive and the complexity of the work. Our charge-out rates are available upon request and are highly competitive.

We believe you will be pleasantly surprised by the fees we charge.

We offer free no-obligation quotes to all clients and would welcome the opportunity to meet you for a friendly and informal discussion. Initial meetings are always free and will be arranged at a time and place to suit you.

HM Revenue and Customs investigations

We have negotiated a practice-wide insurance scheme which is open to all our clients, and covers all types of investigations (including aspect enquiries). The annual cost is currently about 12% of average annual fees. Membership of the scheme is optional, but provides complete reassurance and peace of mind. In the event of an enquiry, it enables us to represent you throughout the process, irrespective of cost, because all our fees will be paid by the insurance company. There will be no further cost to you.

The Revenue has the statutory power to enquire into any tax return without giving a reason, and there is no time limit for it to conclude its enquiries. Investigations can drag on for months or even years, become highly intrusive, detailed, and of course, expensive. The staff at Anchorage have many years of experience in representing businesses and individuals during HMRC enquiries. Through our practice insurance scheme, all of our clients have the option to secure our expert services for a nominal fee.
